This year, we invite visionary architects and interior designers to submit their most innovative bathroom design concepts for the CRANACH Design Vanguard Award 2026.
This is not just a competition — it is a platform to celebrate boundary-pushing ideas that elevate wellness in the built environment. We are looking for projects that engage the senses, restore the mind, and enhance daily rituals through intelligent materiality, spatial harmony, and purposeful user experience.
Whether your concept integrates natural elements, immersive lighting, smart water technology, or multisensory storytelling, we want to see how you are shaping the future of restorative living.
Selected winners will receive CRANACH product sponsorship to bring their bathroom design vision to life — and be featured globally as part of our 2026 Design Vanguard showcase.

Evaluation criteria
1. The Power to Restore (40%)
Focus: How successfully does your concept transform the bathroom into a truly restorative sanctuary? We are looking for designs that skillfully harness sensory elements (light, material, water flow) to promote emotional well-being and elevate daily rituals.
2. The Power to Innovate (35%)
Focus: How does your design push the boundaries of current industry standards? We celebrate original concepts that seamlessly integrate forward-thinking solutions—be it through smart technology, sustainable practices, or entirely new spatial configurations.
3. The Power to Connect (25%)
Focus: How compelling is your design narrative, and how clearly does it align with the needs of your target user? Your submission must demonstrate a clear, professional vision with a practical path to execution, proving its relevance and impact.
How to Participate
We want to see your vision for a restorative bathroom. Prepare your materials based on the three essential submission components:
1. Project Overview & Context
A brief description covering the Who (Client/Target User), the What (Type of Space), and the overall project Context.
2. Design Concept & Narrative
Define the Style and Personality of your design. Submit a Project Description (Maximum 300 Words) clearly explaining how your concept elevates wellness and utilizes the space.
3. Visual Impact
Submit 1-2 High-Resolution Renderings (300 DPI or above) that best communicate the atmosphere and experience of your design.

FAQ
Is participation free of charge?
Yes. There is no fee to enter the CRANACH Design Vanguard Award 2026.
Are group submissions allowed?
Yes. Teams of designers are welcome. Please list all team members and their roles in your submission.
What software and formats are accepted?
High-resolution renderings (JPEG, PNG) are required. Optional layout plans can be submitted in PDF format. Please ensure all images are at least 300 DPI.
When will finalists be notified?
Finalists will be announced in the last week of March 2026. All participants will be contacted via email.
Can international designers participate?
Yes. Designers from around the world are welcome to submit entries.
